The process

Prepare, review together and document improvements.

01

Preparation

I agree the scope with you and review your existing workflow and selected documents, where available.

02

Joint workshop

I walk through the process with you: receipt, assignment, identity verification, deadlines, internal information gathering, legal review, response and documentation. Together, we clarify responsibilities and handovers between privacy, legal, IT and business teams.

03

Concise documentation

I record legal and organisational weaknesses and unnecessary manual work. You receive a process outline, the key gaps identified and prioritised improvements, including suggestions for standardisation and automation.

For your practice

Who is the process review for?

Companies, privacy professionals and legal departments that want to review and improve how they handle data subject requests. I examine an agreed workflow and the handovers involved with you.

Preparation

What I need in advance

Where available: a process description, responsibilities, templates and selected examples of how requests have been handled. I agree with you which documents are needed and how to share them. A fully documented process is not required.

Scope

A clearly defined starting point

The review covers preparation, a joint workshop and concise documentation of the findings. My assessment relates to the agreed workflows and documents actually reviewed.

The review does not include a full data protection audit of your company, certification or a guarantee that all future requests will be handled lawfully. Handling individual requests, extensive drafting and technical implementation can be commissioned separately.

Optional next steps

From an improved process to technical support

Suitable administrative steps can subsequently be supported with Power Automate or Power Platform. I assess with you which steps are suitable. This does not promise fully automated legal decisions or that the entire process can be automated.

Questions about the review

What you may want to know.

Who is the process review suitable for?

Companies, privacy professionals and legal departments that want to review responsibilities, decisions and workflows for data subject requests. After your inquiry, I discuss whether the review fits your situation.

Do I need an existing documented process?

No. An existing workflow is helpful but does not need to be fully documented. In the workshop, I walk through your actual handling process with you and record responsibilities and gaps.

Which documents are needed in advance?

Where available, I review a process description, responsibilities, templates and selected examples of previous request handling. I agree with you in advance which documents are needed within the agreed scope.

What will I receive?

You receive a concise process outline with responsibilities, an overview of the key gaps identified, a prioritised action list and suggestions for suitable standardisation and automation. These are based on the agreed workflows and documents actually reviewed.

Does the review include handling individual data subject requests?

No. Selected examples can help me understand your process. Handling individual requests and extensive drafting are outside this initial engagement and can be commissioned separately.

Can I commission technical implementation afterwards?

Yes, technical implementation can be commissioned separately. Afterwards, I assess suitable administrative steps with you, for example for Power Automate. This does not mean that legal assessments are automatically delegated to software.
